Category 4 Hurricane Earl is now 400 miles from North Carolina’s Outer Banks. Hurricane watches have been issued from North Carolina to Massachusetts for the next 72 hours. Forecasts are still favorable for our local area, but please continue to be proactive incase storm conditions deteriorate. Our friends at Bolling AFB found a useful family checklist; see below. Please take a moment to scan through it.

Civil Air Patrol is also on stand-by alert to respond after the storm if needed. CAP members rated in Emergency Services functions should make sure their gear is ready to go. And thanks to the D.C. National Guard, our aircraft have emergence hangar space to protect them from damage.
