How do you deal with painful events like the Japan earthquake?

I mean from afar. I feel much empathy and other than giving money don't know what to do about it.

Empathy is enough for now. Luckily, Japan has a stable economy unlike Haiti, so even with average aid from other countries, they will be able to take care of their people. It's an awful thing to happen, and the idea of it makes me pretty sad, but things like these happen, so you cope the best you can and try to do good in life. Even if you can't help Japan, there are small ways to help out in everyday life, every good deed is a good deed.

it is hard, but it is the way of the world unfortunately. all you can do is have sympathy and help if you can in anyway viable.
other than that, as harsh as it sounds just be glad it didn't happen closer to home. (i dont mean that in a nasty way)

All you can do it pray and give whatever amount you can to organizations like the Red Cross. It's hard not being able to do more, but we do the best we can.

As much technology they create and have, and as much as they went through in history, as much as that type of weather hits them, Surely they can raise again. it may not be right soon but with time they can triumph.

just pray for them because prayer is power and it's the answer to all your questions

Here i s an excellent site with some wonderful options for you. it will definitely help you. have a look. ansmdh49.notlong.com/4AAzqem

We know the world is coming to an end, so I dont see the point of bothering even to try
